Title:  Manager, HR Records and Information Management

Lead and oversee workstreams relating to Global Human Resource Records and Information Management through initiation to successful completion, to ensure protection, accessibility, retention, and disposition of records. Records are business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures 

  

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:   

  • Drives Records & Information Management for Global HR by leading and/or developing processes and solutions to support ongoing governance of Global HR records and information management in alignment with enterprise program, including target operating model and roadmap for implementation. 

  • Leads or participates in Global HR Records Information Management activities related to discovery, development, solutioning, implementation, governances, policies and procedures, and internal controls  

  • Designs and analyzes current and future state workflow processes and procedures, leads walkthrough discussions, and proactively utilizes a wide range of HR data to identify themes/trends 

  • Drives stakeholder engagement by identifying, liaising, and organizing required stakeholders to cultivate collaborative group effort 

  • Presents information to stakeholders/leadership in a structured manner to clearly convey message, recommendation, and/or decisions required 

  • Identifies downstream impacts to engage participation, and perform change management through communications and/or training  

  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk 

  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR or equivalent experience 

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business/human resources or work-related experience 

  • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast-paced environment 

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) 

  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills   

  • Ability to investigate complex problems and making sense of information 

  • Ability to build strong cross-cultural and cross-divisional team relationships and collaboration with stakeholders and business partners.  

  • Actively listens and seeks to understand needs with genuine curiosity to identify solutions through effective questioning 

  • Able to effectively work with and influence at all levels of management 

  • Technical skills is an asset (cloud-based applications, HR applications, databases, reporting) 

  • Experience in reviewing legislation, policy, and supporting documents is an asset 

  • Understanding of Data management is an asset
